As we know that Google Nexus is a line of consumer electronic devices that run Android operating system. Google manages everything such as marketing, design, development and support of these devices, but some development and all manufacturing are carried out by partnering with original equipment manufactures (OEMs). There are currently two smartphones are available in the line, as of august 2016. The Nexus 6P which is made with Huawei, and Nexus 5X made with LG. The line has also included tablets and streaming media players, tough neither type of device is currently available. Did you know that the most recent tablet was the Nexus 9 made with HTC and the most recent streaming media player the Nexus Player made with Asus.
New HTC Nexus Smartphones with Android 7.0 Nougat:
HTC is among the first smartphone brands to announce the list of its smartphones that will receive the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update. HTC is working on 2 new Nexus smartphones codenamed as Marlin, and Sailfish. It seems that Marlin could be the 5.5-Inch displayed touchscreen and will be made of metal. While, the Sailfish could be a little bit small than Marlin and will be made of plastic. Nexus Sailfish is likely to get the same camera setup seen on the Nexus 6. According to the reports, HTC’s both Nexus smartphones are likely to get 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, its not so clear whether 32GB will be base storage, cause Google plans to launch multiple storage variants. Both devices are expected to have 3.5mm port for standard headphones.
You probably shoudn’t expect that the phones in stores in August when Android 7.0 Nougat hits. Google is ready to announce the two new Nexus smartphones. In fact, Google might not release the new Nexus phones until sometime in early October.
Techconfigurations, YouTube channel already offered us a great video featuring 3D renders of what the Marlin and Sailfish might look like based on early leaks, now they released a second video that imagines an all-metal Marlin.
